Birthday bike ride

I had planned to do a mile for every year of being here on the planet for my birthday challenge. Up early to avoid the rain due in midday, I left at 8 and startled a beautiful green woodpecker just outside of town.
All was well during my ride until the return journey and on the approach to Fremington when the skies opened and Noah’s arc sailed past.
With just under 68 miles done in the four hours of cycling I was several years ahead of my target.
A shower followed up by a quick lunch of several boiled eggs and some lovely sourdough toast before heading over to visit auntie who was in good spirits but quite tired.
