Fairmilehead Park
Not a white Christmas this year in Edinburgh. the snow misses us, but Aberdeenshire and the Scottish Borders do get a light covering. A nice quiet relaxed morning, but no Bucks Fizz as the cooler part for the jug wasn't put in the freezer. Presents were opened between Breakfast and coffee.
I did a reverse walk around the park to get shot of the mound caused by a glacial erratic, Extra 1. The stone was large enough to permit a small quarry, so most of the rock is no longer there. I then walked cross the park to Cockmylane and up to the old doocot, Extra 2, which is next to the old stables for Comiston House, the house being Extra 3. Back to the park for my satruday shot of the trees in Fairmilehead Park. The taller trees are on the mound of the glacial erratic. Finally back to the house passing the mound again, where I got Extra 4 of fungi in the sunlight.
