The Moeraki Boulders are north of Dunedin and have been an icon for many years with people from all over the world stopping to look at them.
Sadly when I went for a walk up to them today I found they were very dimished from when my Alex and I had walked to them a few years ago.
Not so many as there was - they are sandstone and with the waves and water with the tides every day they have slowly been breaking up. i will put up tomorrow one when it was just coming out of the bank a few years ago and is now a boulder in its own right and starting to break down. Very sad but like a lot of things on our planet they don't last forever.
