To paradise!
Todaiji temple, in Nara, is the world's largest wooden building, and houses an enormous statue of the Buddha that weighs over 500 tonnes, and almost bankrupt the Japanese economy when it was first cast in 750 AD.
In one of the corners of the building, there is a tiny hole in one of the supporting pillars. It is said that if you can climb through this hole, then you will have a little part of paradise. We joined the long queue (of mostly tiny children), a little nervous it has to be said - What on earth would they do if we got stuck?!
Here is Mum in the joyful and successful aftermath of her attempt :-)
