A sad sight on the beach today, the corpse of a dead harbour porpoise is wallowing in the shallows and the herring gulls are busy recycling it into more herring gulls. Gory, but all part of the eternal recycling of the star-dust of which all we living creatures are made.
Well, I used to think that "stuff" would be recycled for evermore but now, as far as I understand things, the current thinking is that in the far distant future everything will simply cease to exist. It is all quite baffling!
