Zoo

So today, we took my daughter for a zoo experience for her 21st, a 'Keeper for a day' at Colchester zoo. We started with the elephants, went round the paddock and then fed them - the two elephants we were with, Tania and Opel, are pictured in the extras. Tania was particularly gorgeous - she is the one with her trunk raised. Then we went to see the Komodo dragon and helped to scent the enclosure for the amazing 8 year old pictured in the extra as he sniffs our handiwork. We then handled a corn snake and Madagascan stick insect, before lunch. In the afternoon we hid food for the hyenas (such beautiful animals close up), put rice krispies in pouches for the Mandrills, and then went to meet the Cheetahs, and put rabbits out in their enclosure. The main picture is one of the cheetahs. They were so gorgeous - they even mew like cats.
