New year, new list

Driving home from Christmas.
Saw my sister on the way, for the first time in two years. She has a lovely garden in rural Wales and in a short time we made a good start to our 2022 bird list. Bird of the day - Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Later we were delayed by an incident on the M5. It was eerie sitting in darkness for two hours keeping our eyes peeled for a horse.
