Winding Down

It is time to start returning to normality. The festivities have lasted long enough, or maybe too long.

In the office year end coincided with the financial year end. So far from being a time to party it was time to be working long hours in the office.

The ancient civilisations had a mid winter festival. The Christian Church adopted it and called it Christmas. Some how we have adopted both and have ended up with two festivals in place of one.

In Scotland we waste four days of public holidays in the middle of winter, when we would be far better having some of them in summer when the weather is better,

We still have a few days before Christmas officially ends on twelfth night, so still time for a few more Christmassy photographs.
