Ready to jump

Today is our last full day with the family in Texas and with G and M needing to work we busied ourselves taking down the Christmas tree and generally tidying up.

A team of  gardeners arrived in the morning to trim some overhanging branches so they kindly threw the tree in with all the rest. ( extra) 

In the afternoon we did our pre-travel Covid LFTs and thankfully both negative although we have been very careful to avoid at risk situations. G was a big help filling up all the required electronic information required to get back to the UK - how travel has changed in the last 2 years !! 

Unfortunately we were not able to see some of the friends that we normally
see due to their views on vaccination that I find difficult to understand.

We did pop in to see a neighbouring friend in her garden and enjoyed her Indian food and Chai - delicious ginger flavour ! Abigail chatted with her friends on her iPad. ( extra).

The blip just happened when I looked out of a window and saw the squirrel on the fence about to jump on to a tree. I am not sure what it was carrying in its mouth - not a perfect picture as the window was a bit dusty.
