Old faithful

A peeler is a very loyal kitchen utensil. They are like a woman and can feel when you have been unfaithful with them with another. When you are reunited with it after a short absence they can feel your infidelity and behave differently, not in the same clinical way that you are used to, but in a difficult sulky manner. Our peeler here in France is such a sensitive peeler and is only now coming round to my touch once again after a week of careful caresses whilst peeling carrots and potatoes.

If in doubt take your peeler everywhere with you and therefore avoid the silent treatment when you return home after your time away with a new peeler..peelers have feelings too!
