Grey Seal

An unexpected surprise today was this grey seal asleep on a slipway on Plymouth's waterfront. It was surprisingly well camouflaged lying on the granite cobbles. It always amazes me how awkward and ungainly these creatures look when they haul themselves up out of the water, and yet when swimming in the sea they look so graceful and elegant.
