Pochard #4
Todays outing was to WWT Martin Mere and once again we had a lovely morning, even though it was only a little above freezing point. In fact the weather was pretty similar to the last time we were here just before Christmas with some bright sunshine first thing and then an increasing cold northerly wind making it less pleasant later on.
We saw 44 different species and today's blip is of a Pochard, another bird I did not blip last year. Year count is now up to 66 but this is where it really starts to slow down as many of the common ones have all been counted now. But we have plenty of different places nearby that we can visit.
This afternoon I cleared the house of Christmas decorations and lights with the tree to be disposed of tomorrow by hubby.
And this evening I will be making some nice tomato soup for supper and some hummus for tomorrow's lunch.
