View over Saalbach
Skied over to Saalbach from Zell am See today. The Snow conditions are not great and it wasn't possible to ski all the way, so we skied as as far as Viehhofen and took a short ski bus ride to Vorderglemm and then a lift up that allowed us to access Saalbach. Todays blip is a view from the slopes above Saalbach. We skied from Schattberg (west) , above Saalbach this afternoon, to Vorderglemm again, down the most difficult blue run I've ever done, lots of moguls (bumps in the snow that develop when lots of people have skied down the run) were very hard work. When we got back up to Schmittenhohebahn we did a black run that was easier than the blue that we had done earlier (ski runs are classed according to difficulty by colour: green is easiest , then blue, red and the hardest are black). It all depends on the snow conditions!
The extra is a view from Schmittenhohenbahn above Zell am See, to the North at sunset as I came down about 4.30pm.
I find my skiing style has evolved over the years: I used to like skiing down as fast as possible, now I try to ski down with as little effort as possible!
