Pond after Turbulent Weather

The water in the pond next door gets very brown when the water is flowing through from the local fields.  It is going down now and will become a more normal colour eventually.  As you can see, today has been a beautiful day with a bright blue sky - and of course that means that it has gone much colder.

Out this afternoon volunteer stewarding - a steady stream of mainly younger folk coming through to sort out their vaccinations against covid.  We had one young girl (early teens?)  come in with her mom and she was petrified - fought very strongly against it but did succumb in the end.  I hope vaccinations will get easier for her as time goes on.
