Walla Crag

A cold crisp winters day , with a chilly wind.
I drove to Penrith to meet my partner off the train. I was late , as it had taken me a while to get ready . I’ve still got a chest infection and feel a-bit lousy.
We had some lunch in a nice cafe then headed west towards Derwent Water. We had originally planned to walk up Catbells , but it was very busy. So instead we headed over to the other side of Derwent Water to Ashness Bridge and took a path under Walla Crags.
The views were spectacular. After the sun had set we took a walk through the woods starting at the ‘Surprise View ’.
I’ve started a Spanish course with Duolingo - the free version. I’m really enjoying it. Maybe I will get to use it one day ! Fingers crossed .
