for Rhubarb

Not exactly the most photogenic subject, but important nevertheless.

A morning spent fettling up the rhubarb beds. The variety in this bed is called "Timperley Early" and I have grown it for many years just to have the pleasure of tasting the first stewed rhubarb of the year. 

You will see that my efforts at compost making are beginning to pay off!
