A Snowy at Dusk

It was soooo cold today, but the photographers were not deterred.  Both Snowy Owls were out this evening, although a little too far away.  This shows their habitat, with the sandy dunes, and Nantucket Sound (the portion of the Atlantic Ocean south of Cape Cod) beyond.  It ended up to be a spectacular sunset, but I didn't have the right lens with me to take advantage of that.

Thank you for the lovely comments you have left for my recent owl photos. I'm only here until the end of the week, and I know I will miss these gorgeous birds when I head back to Maryland.
