When I look closely at birds' plummage I'm always in wonderment at their beauty.
Even the most common birds have beautiful feathers. Someone, somewhere had an amazing imagination!
This picture is detail of a Pheasant. They are particularly spectacular at this time of year.
I very often see them by the roads and fields and take them for granted as 'just another pheasant'. Today I was lucky enough to get close and see the bird in all it's glory. A creature of beauty for sure.
