Back to work and straight into a day of counselling clients. Supporting people with strained and dysfunctional family relationships makes me very thankful for my lot. Christmas can be an awful time for many people. I heard the phrase "I'm glad it's over" from three people.

I've incurred a painful foot strain following a long walk and then, stupidly, running on a niggly pain. Doh. Plantar Fasciitis. Sounds sweet. But it's not. All the more frustrating because my friends are getting back into their running for New Year and I can't join them. Recovery could take weeks :(
