Orion

I had a counseling appointment during my break at work, so I wasn't able to get the day's photo until after the sun had gone down. I went for a quick walk in the neighborhood because it was cold.

I set up on a hill to shoot Orion. I happened to capture comet Leonard! I didn't notice until I saw the fuzzy tail on my computer monitor. It's just to the left of the house in the middle. Maybe I'll try to get a better shot of it now that I know where it is.

While taking my camera off the tripod, the plate that attaches the camera to the tripod fell apart. There's a small washer that holds the screw to the plate, and I lost it in the grass in the dark. So when I got home, I ordered two plates. I had meant to get a second anyway.
