La Befana

La Befana is on her broom and preparing to deliver gifts to the children in Italy on the eve of Epiphany.

Closer to home I have been waiting for a courier to make a delivery. My Befana will take a less haggard form, although she may be tired after a long day of deliveries. She will arrive in a van rather than on a broomstick I hope.

The moon is rising (or setting) as she flies past over a picture of some of the Christmas cards received this year. Tomorrow the cards will be taken down, and the Befana will have finished her deliveries.
