Cademuir Ridge
Well it was the last day of my holidays today, P wasn't working and the sun was shining so we headed to the Borders. Yesterday we went north-west so today we went south east to Peebles. Peebles is a lovely wee town, giving me some Pateley Bridge vibes (for the Yorkshire folk) and we did a loop of Cademuir hill returning via the banks of the Tweed. Was a lovely crisp day, the bogs were all frozen over, and it was super quiet being out and about.
Cademuir hill is home to three hill forts which you can't see much of on the ground, though one still have something of a wall remaining. They're worth a look on google maps though where you can see the footprint of the old buildings. Mum - a good walk for you and dad went you come and visit!
