Choosing tapestry

Blipfoto is to feature on a list of just 100 websites that have been tipped as essential reading both now and for the year 2113 Capturing the Universe. Together with BBC, Trip Advisor, eBay etc.

I wouldn't have believed a moment ago what an adventure this would be! A virtual trip daily throughout the globe, visiting homes, unbelievable sceneries, happiness and sorrow, every day life, power of creativity and talent of fellow blippers.

I phoned my sister and miss her and her family just now, I know she feels the same. This blip is a greeting from us to her in Tampere.

Many thanks for your lovely comments yesterday. Some of you might have recognised the vase. It was designed in 1937 by the most famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto and his wife Aino Aalto. It's called Aalto vase, aalto means wave.
And the vase, it was a present to me and my husband 29 years ago. We got engaged and it was given to us by his godparents. So it's a treasure.
