Magic Doors

Well almost any door will be a Magic Door to an almost 5 year old.

I decided to build a tree house for the boys last year, but sort of got a bit misdirected at the start. I decided that there wasn't that much room in the tree, and a lot of stone underneath it.

So in my moment of wisdom / madness I decided to start with a nice safe platform underneath it first.

So what we now have is an area of decking 2.4 metres above where I park my car.

We also had our original sash windows ripped out last year. Yes they looked nice, but drafty as hell in our house.

So the windows are going in under the decking (and some on the top eventually when I work it all out) to possibly turn it into a useful space.

Then one of our neighbours had a skip outside there house following a re-furb, so I acquired a door.

Not sure what the lower level will be used for - possibly for the kids to keep bikes / toys etc; and keep them out of my shed :)

So all I need to do now is:
-- finish enclosing the bottom half with the windows and any offcuts of wood
-- build some stairs up to the decking level
-- childproof the decking level
-- still figure out how to build a treehouse in the actually tree.
