Call of the Seagull

Stopped the car in the middle of the road I did to blip this creature, knocking on the first floor window of this terraced house, tap tap, tap tap, tap,tap, it was relentless,
And completely oblivious to me snapping away for several minutes. Across the road, a tabby cat sat in the window opposite, chunnering and licking it's lips. All the scene was short of was the voice over of Johnny Morris !


CALL OF THE SEAGULLS

The seagulls scream loud in the sky,
They circle 'round and up so high;

Against a sky of blue so pale,
The sun a backdrop for their yell;

Mostly white, with some dirty gray,
They ride air currents all the day;

Hunting, seeking for crumb or two,
They seek, they sight in on a cue;

Beautiful, majestic - their flight,
Seeking sustenance in delight;

These birds of the sea and the shore,
Scavenge garbage til 'tis no more;

Listen carefully to their scream,
It means they're working at the clean.
