Fancy seeing you here

As good a way as any to pass the time and as La Lanterna had given The Smiths a room to ourselves it would have been a shame not to.

Earlier, Mrs S had been dropped off at the hairdressers before we were down in Trinity picking up Ruby from a "sleep"over ( four hours kip this time) and then up for a mooch around the Portrait Gallery. Annie Lennox exhibition underwhelming, although the kids were very excited at the sight of the Oscar she won for singing something in the last Lord of the Rings film. Upstairs the portraits of Scottish comedians was very enjoyable, although Eve probably watched the film of Billy Connolly streaking far too many times.

After a stop for pasta and pizza it was along to The Grassmarket where we bumped into another couple of blippers and I may have pushed a small boy over the edge - I apologise Dotty! Lovely to see you though.

The girls bought vintage stuff in Armstrong's, the boys moaned and looked in through the window of the Bow Bar, had a smoothie instead and then we headed home.

Ruby throwing on a change of clothes and then off to the next "sleep"over.
