Supersonic

Went to the Museum of Flight today. They have a Concorde housed in a huge hanger. This is a photo of the pilot's cabin.

It still seems incredible that there is nothing in civilian aviation that comes even close to equalling it's speed. In the 60s humans landed on the moon, and built Concorde - two unbelievable engineering achievements. You'd think in the 40 years since we might have managed to at least replicate that.

Oh and my uncle worked on the team that helped to design it. A fact of which he is justifiably proud.
