Iconic

After a pretty lazy start we finally got on the road to Heartlands in Pool. We stopped off at the Portreath Bakery in Lanner to get pasties now we're boycotting Rowes.

As expected, it was very windy at Heartlands but we hunkered down behind a wall, scoffed our assorted pastry products and let the children loose in the playground.

We briefly attempted some culture mainly to warm up but it wasn't overly successful. So we adjourned to the cafe and stuffed ourselves stupid with cake and crisps.

Once home, Ben and I donned out chef hats and prepared a homemade Chinese Takeaway. Not a resounding yes from the children but they were very impressed by my homemade rice pancakes for the crispy duck!

Out tonight for drinks with 1/2 of Family Sven - we are kicking off MrRoly's birthday celebrations early...
