The State of our City

I’ve lived in Portland my whole life. It was once a stunningly beautiful,  clean, and safe place to live. It is now a haven for the homeless and drug addicted criminals. Today we went through the downtown area past street after street of encampments strewn with abandoned cars and motor homes and piles and piles of garbage. It absolutely makes me sick to see what’s become of our once  immaculate city.
Grateful for…the neighborhood we live in and our home. Although I’m sympathetic with the plight of some homeless people, I’m not sympathetic with the lawlessness and disrespect for property that goes along with it. It’s sad to witness.
