Diwrnod gorffwys (ish)

Diwrnod gorffwys (ish) ~ Rest day (ish)

“I do not claim to have perfected an art but to have commenced one, the limits of which it is not possible at present exactly to ascertain.”
— Wiliam Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877), quoted in 'Photographers on Photography' by Henry Carroll

Roedd y ddau ohonon ni angen diwrnod gorffwys ar ôl ymweliad Sam. Gwnaethon ni fwynhau'r ddau ddiwrnod diwethaf, ond gwnaethon ni teimlo wedi blino heddiw.

Gwnaethon ni orffen rhoi'r addurniadau Nadolig i ffwrdd. Tra roeddwn i yn y llofft roedd y glaw yn cwympo yn drwm iawn ac roedd band tenau hwn o olau o dan awyr tywyll.

Rydw i wedi newydd orffen darllen 'Photographers on Photography' gan Henry Carroll. Mae'n llyfr ysbrydoledig. Mae llawer o enghreifftiau o ffotograffwyr gwahanol a'u gwaith. Mae mor llawer o ffyrdd i fynd at ffotograffiaeth a bob un yn cael ei phencampwr ymhlith ffotograffwyr medrus - sy'n eithaf calonogol.

We both needed a rest day after Sam's visit. We enjoyed the last two days, but felt tired today.

We finished putting away the Christmas decorations. While I was upstairs the rain was falling very heavily and there was this thin band of light under a dark sky.

I've just finished reading Henry Carroll's 'Photographers on Photography'. It's an inspirational book. There are many examples of different photographers and their work. There are so many ways to approach photography and each one has its champion among skilled photographers - which is quite encouraging.
