Floral Friday

This morning I put on my woolly pully and thick socks and managed an hour of leaf collecting in the garden before my fingers started to feel numb. There is still plenty more tidying to do but every little helps.

And this pretty clump of primroses did help to keep my spirits up as the cold wind blew.

A couple of years ago I was watching Monty Don on a Friday night and he said it was the right time to divide the primroses. I had never tried it before but the next day I followed the Monty method. It worked perfectly and I now have quite a few primrose clumps dotted about my garden, each one radiating a little, much needed sunshine in these drab winter days.
