Christmas nuts

The bowl of Christmas nuts is looking a bit forlorn. Every year we buy these just before Christmas and every year hardly any get eaten. I’m not sure why because I love nuts. Something about the effort required to remove the shells I guess. I’m determined to get to them tonight.
The day has been work and more work and a trip to Tesco - wow! However it’s Friday and although it’s freezing outside, at least it’s dry, so we may be able to fit in a cold and icy walk during the day tomorrow.
And then come home and finish off the nuts around the brazier.
