The glow of the Moon and the almost Victorian-clad lady by the front door lent an olde worlde air to my trip to Dennis Severs' House, a place I've been meaning to visit for years. It was decorated for Christmas with candlelight and homely Christmas smells. Magical – a trip back in time.
