Not the plan

It feels like the washing machine has been broken down for a fortnight. Mrs SJR ordered a replacement for online retailer Curr**. The machine chosen was based on price, availability and the fact (if paying a £30 premium could be delivered today and for a further charge take the old one away. There had been no email or text about delivery time so Mrs SJR phoned them. After 6 attempts to get through she was helpfully told that one isn't in stock with no realistic prospect of it being so anytime soon. Why on earth did they take payment with a promise of Thursday delivery?

Spitting feathers!

More calls to another department to get a refund. The local Argos had one available for collection now. (We had tried that earlier). The old machine was sitting outside on the path awaiting collection so we now had to lift that into the pickup and take it to the skip yard then continue to Argos. The machines are very heavy and awkward to get into the high level boot.
It took a wee while to remove packaging, transit bolts and get it connected but what a relief to hear that first beep as it came to life and started filling up.

That's a lot of hassle before starting at the desk for the day.

That other online retailer is a joke!
