The Golden Charmer

Well, rather orangey golden actually. This pyracantha, (commonly called firethorn) is just outside my front room window and I think its position explains why, after such a long,hard winter it still has all these berries: only the bravest birds are willing to come that close to the window to get them, especially when there are 3 cats often 'on duty' just inside!
No need to worry about the birds' welfare though - they've had all the berries from the back garden and have 2 feeding stations which are regularly restocked!
