Giant Puffball Revisited

The big puffball has ripened and has begun to release spore. It’s not obvious yet, but close up there is an unpleasant rotten smell, while several metres away it’s more of a cloying sweetness. Usually at this stage I would bag it up and put it in the wheelie bin, but I’ll keep on recording it. There’s a wind change predicted for a few days which will take the spore from the house and most of the garden.
