The unknown tree

I don’t know much about trees, but I noticed that this one at the edge of the golf course has lots of new growth in freezing January. (I’ve upped the colour to help you see.) The reddish branches have buds on the end of them. I don’t think its a native tree. When the leaves come out I will blip them.
 
Being at a bit of a loose end, I decided to go into the MacMillan site on prostate cancer and treatment options. The idea is that when I meet the urology team on Friday, I have some knowledge. Maybe they will recommend something, I don't know. If they say it's up to me, I'll say, 'Two paracetamol, three times a day, and a mug of cocoa at bed time.'
