January 2nd Saturday Strollers

January '2nd Saturday Strollers' today, and we made best use of the helpful tide-times to head over to Cramond Island at the start of our walk this morning ...

... weather was a bit overcast, as you can see from this snap looking back from the Island over to the Mainland (you can still just make out the Forth Bridges in the distance!), but thankfully the day cleared-up by the early afternoon. So, after having had a good look around the Island, we went along the River Almond to Cramond Brig, and finally returned back to Cramond Village via the same route.

A thoroughly enjoyable day, with a hardy sub-set of the group even running the Edinburgh (Cramond) Parkrun, before we did the walk :-)

A quiet evening certainly beckons!
