When Saturday Comes

I was determined to watch some football today.


I couldn’t get a ticket for the FA Cup game at St. James’ Park between Newcastle United and Cambridge United (Thank goodness!) and a number of Northern Football League games were cancelled for various reasons (which included waterlogged pitches, frozen pitches, storm damage to floodlights and Covid) and so I ended up watching Second division leaders, Heaton Stannington beat Jarrow 2-0.


And very enjoyable it was too!
