Bark
There is some great bark to be found at the moment.
Suzy and the girls came along to say goodbye before they went off on holiday. Hannah and Maggie were really happy and excited. Hannah did ski school two years ago and loved it, but this will be Maggie’s first time. Fingers crossed she will like it. Her mum and dad, and Nanny and papa are experienced skiers, so if Maggie enjoys ski school everyone can have a great time.
After they left we walked up through the woods at Kilrenny. It was damp and cold and muddy, so I was miserable. But there were still things to see. Like great bark and cross-sections of tree trunks that fell in the storm and are now being chopped up.
We stopped at the Co-op on the way home for shopping, then straight home for a hot cuppa.
After lunch Amber arrived for her holiday, her folks, the girls grandparents, are off skiing in Italy too. Geordie is delighted to have his friend to stay. I think we shall have a fun week.
As soon as her folks left I took them along the Coastal Path and back then had a good ball-throwing session in the park. Amber doesn’t chase balls much, but she made friends with the other dog owners in the park so she could get treats. She’s a Labrador after all.
