Trees in Fairmilehead Park

Heavy rain in the morning woke me up, but I managed to get back to sleep and wake up at a civilised time for a Saturday. No rain, snow melted. After breakfast I went to the park to get my weekly (time lapse) blip of the trees in the park. Some puddles still have ice in them, so it pays to walk around them. The grass areas are sodden through. What a difference a year makes. This time last year, view here, there was snow everywhere and the mud was hard as iron.

A quick bit of bike maintenance after coffee. Despite the forecast, there is no rain.

After lunch a walk down to Morningside for the weekend groceries. After returning home, a short walk late afternoon to get coffee from the local Italian café. Even now the afternoons are a wee bit brighter, but the sun has set behind the Pentlands Hills.
