Broken but not bent

Last week when my son was here he was showing me his light sabre, not the cheap plastic toy of his childhood but sone expensive “ toy” he’d bought. No I don’t get it either but….
In his manoeuvres he whacked the amaryllis I’m growing and almost snapped through the stem :( … we immediately staked it , and here is the damaged stalk today .
However joy of joys it seems ok and it’s just about to flower! Possibly tomorrow’s blip :)
