Happy Birthday Grandad Tony!

We awoke to Tony's best present ever, a birthday wishes video from Euan and his Mummy (whose birthday it was yesterday!)

Then it was off to Calverley Woods to run the entry on day registration for our Club's orienteering event.  During the pandemic, event entries have been online so today was a first go at how limited entry on day would work.  Early issues with the temperature impacting on the payment machine resulted in us having a Heath Robinson set up of power packs and a car light plugged in to the system to boost the charge.  Also trying to see through glasses fogged by wearing masks limited our effectiveness!  However we were soon in to the process and all went well.

Tony went off for his run and four hours stationary in a small tent meant the cold was creeping through my bones by the time he returned, registration was over and we could take down the equipment and the tent.  We chatted briefly to folks we haven't seen in many a month and then climbed in the car, activated the heated seats and headed home for cuppas and hot baths.
