A gift from a childhood German pen friend 40 years ago. Do pen friends still exist in this age of emails and texts?

The Christmas boxes still haven’t made it up into the attic (feeling completely umphless today), and as the Christmas pyramid didn’t get lit this year, earlier this evening I lit the candles and let the shepherds and kings have a quick whirl. Another Christmas tradition that didn’t happen this year was watching The Heroes of Telemark, so that’s what I did this afternoon, while eating a slice of choccie Yule Log!
