Scmittenhohe above Zell am See

Our last day of skiing and it was a beautiful morning with blue skies and sun, though very cold despite the sun. I was at the top of Schmittenhohe for 9am for the morning light and perfectly prepared pistes, with very few people about. Today's blip is just such a perfect piste in the morning.

I couldn't resist a couple of extras though: one of the Kitzsteinhorn, where we were yesterday in the morning sun, and one of sun and low cloud over the trees, taken from a chairlift.

Zell am See is a very pleasant spot for skiing, with easy access to the slopes and a picturesque town. I'm told the name means "Rocks of the Sea", because there are lots of marine fossils found in the limestone of the region.
