WV Handmade Marbles

Today was nearly the last day of the WV Great Teacher's Seminar. A group of us went for a bike ride on the river trail and visited a man who used to work in the glass factory in Cairo, WV. Now he makes handmade marbles in a workshop in his garage. It was really special to get a personal tour. He showed us how he made the marbles and the like. In the end, it was incredibly difficult to pick just one to take home! Alas! i only had $20 cash and that's what one the size I wanted cost. Thus, I was forced to choose. I'm glad I was because this is now my special memento from that occasion.
