The Slug goes

We've put off removing this beast from the front garden (and pavement!) for some time.  I really don't like replacing front gardens with driveways but we've finally decided to do it in the most eco way we can, along with half The Slug.  It'll be a permeable drive and, instead of The Slug along the front, we're having a medium height, mixed native hedge down the side which will be longer and much more wildlife friendly than The Slug.  It should attract birds, bees and butterflies for a much longer portion of the year.
