Planning A Walk
Having consulted Rain Radar or predictions we decided to visit Monikie and Crombie Country Parks which are in Angus.
We enjoyed a fine run through the countryside, however, as we neared our planned destinations the clouds gathered and the air temperature dropped. The rain also started dropping.
At Monikie we observed dogs taking their owners for walks around the three reservoirs. There was also quite a lot of damaged trees.
We continued to Crombie and passing through several areas of significant tree damage we arrived at Crombie to be greeted by the rain.
I don’t like walking in the rain, and Pat had discovered that her boots which were made for walking were now leaking.
The obvious solution. We drove to Arbroath and saw that the fishmonger was open. Arbroath Smokies we’re just the treat on this sort of day.
Walk? Distance from car to the Smokies and back again was 40 steps. (That contributed to my total of 11, 081 for the day).
We did enjoy the drive and the Tay Estuary was like a millpond for the whole afternoon.
