No-Rainbow
When I got out of bed (Later than intended..) this morning I glanced out of the window to try to gauge how warm it might be in order to decide what to wear for going over to my Dad's.
I saw a lovely bright blue sky and streaks of bright pink cloud. It looked so lovely I nipped downstairs in my dressing gown to get my camera. When I went back up I could not believe it - there was a rainbow! No sign of recent rain at all! I knew if I went to try to photograph it outside it would be gone before I'd put on enough clothes and found an unobscured vantagepoint, so I took some shots through the window!
There were no rainclouds visible outside when I did pop out quickly. I've never seen a rainbow in these conditions before! I suppose there was enough dew/dampness in the air to make the conditions right! I feel blessed and privileged to have seen it.
I really hope some other Blippers with better scenery, camera and/or photographic skills also saw it and got a better shot than this, but I couldn't not Blip it!
I went to my Dad's and he's OK! He's made a slow cooker full of soup (he says...looks more like stew to me!) It should last him a while. He asked if I wanted any but it has gammon in! Yuck!!
Last night I worked with Abdul. He is very interesting to work with and has done so much in his 29 years. It was an earlier finish than Fri/Sat and despite being quiet the night went very quickly. The kettle broke! It's done well though - it was only £9.99 from Tesco three years ago, and it's had to work a lot harder in the shop than as the domestic kettle it is designed to be.
Time now to write my list and get ready for doing the weekly shop.
