Love amongst the chimney pots
This pair of love birds has taken possession of our neighbour's chimney. They are part of a dispersed colony of jackdaws that live locally. The male is constantly preening the female and giving her little offerings of food. It's a few months until she lays her eggs and they raise a family, but he's working hard to maintain a strong pair bond; I guess there's plenty of rivals to catch her eye if he's not attentive enough.
It's been a grey weather day, not too much rain, but not a lot of light either. I shall be running out of garden birds to photograph soon. I did want to get to 10 consecutive blips, and see how it goes from there. I still marvel at the blippers who find something of interest every day, year after year.
